1. Prepaid excess baggage service (“Prepaid Excess Baggage”) is subject to these Terms and Conditions. By purchasing the Prepaid Excess Baggage, you shall be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions.
2. Prepaid Excess Baggage is only available for purchase by the passenger when he/she has already purchased one-way and/or round trip economy and/or business class electronic tickets for flights between Hong Kong and selected destinations as shown on Prepaid Excess Baggagevia Hong Kong Airlines’ official website, Hong Kong Airlines’ mobile application, Wechat platform and Hong Kong Airlines’ Checked Baggage
3. Prepaid Excess Baggage is not available for one who holds infant ticket.
4. The price of the Prepaid Excess Baggage is based on one-way of the flight schedule and is equivalent to a local currency by exchanging it to USD at the point of sale, subject to currency fluctuation.  Hong Kong Airlines reserve the right to adjust the price without any prior notice.  No refund of the price of Prepaid Excess Baggage if the passenger has not used up the allowance of the Prepaid Excess Baggage.  The passenger is required to purchase additional baggage allowance if the actual weight exceeds the Prepaid Excess Baggage.
5. Prepaid Excess Baggage is subject to availability and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
6. The purchase of Prepaid Excess Baggage must be made at least 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.
7. Prepaid Excess Baggage is only available for flights marketed and operated by Hong Kong Airlines (HX) only. Not available for special flights, chartered flights, interline flights or codeshare flights.
8. In the circumstances of any rebooking of the ticket to different flights/dates for the same origin/destination, the Prepaid Excess Baggage purchased can be changed to the new rebooked ticket without additional charge.  In the circumstances of any upgrade or downgrade, the price of the Prepaid Excess Baggage is not refundable but the Prepaid Excess Baggage allowance is entitled to keep.
9. Prepaid Excess Baggage is not applicable for any re-routing.  The price of Prepaid Excess Baggage is not refundable for passenger’s no-show and voluntary cancellation of the ticket by passenger.Separate refunds for Prepaid Excess Baggage are not applicable.
10. Prepaid Excess Baggage is non-transferable to another origin, destination, booking, nor passenger.
11. The baggage allowance shall be accumulated in accordance with the ticket fare rules as applicable to each origin/destination.

12. Each passenger is allowed to check in up to a maximum of 5 pieces of baggage for each sector including applicable checked baggage allowance, Prepaid Excess Baggage and FWC members’ additional baggage allowance. For more details, please refer to Hong Kong Airlines’ Checked Baggage. 

13. The maximum weight and dimensions of any single piece of checked baggage should not be over 32kg and 203cm (Length + Width + Height) respectively. 14. Due to operational limitations, Prepaid Excess Baggage may not be applicable for some origins/destinations.
15. Hong Kong Airlines will not be liable for any matter or loss in relation to any error or omission due to technical problems including but not limited to any computer or internet network issues.
16. Purchase is not completed or accepted by Hong Kong Airlines until payment has been received and a confirmation email has been sent.
17. Purchase of Prepaid Excess Baggage is not eligible for FWC points accrual.
18. Nothing in the Terms and Conditions shall confer any third party rights or benefits.
19. Prepaid Excess Baggage is subject to the General Conditions of Carriage published by Hong Kong Airlines (subject to change from time to time) and is available on Hong Kong Airlines’ website.
20. Hong Kong Airlines reserve the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
21. If there is any inconsistency or ambiguity between the English and Chinese versions of the Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
22. In the event of any dispute regarding any of the Terms and Conditions, the decision of Hong Kong Airlines shall be final.
23. The Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
